HOW TO MAINTAIN THE CRAWLER OF ASMALLEXCAVATOR
DAILY INSPECTION
· Before each operation, check whether the tension of the track is appropriate. Too loose can easily cause the track to fall off, and too tight will increase the wear of parts such as the track and drive wheel. Generally, it is judged by the gap between the supporting wheel and the track. The normal gap is between 10-30 mm.
· Check whether the track plate has cracks, excessive wear, etc. If the track plate is found to be severely worn or cracked, it should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the safety and efficiency of the operation.
CLEANING WORK
· After the operation, clean up the dirt, sand and other debris on the track in time. These debris will not only increase the wear of the track, but also may affect the normal operation of the track.
· You can use a high-pressure water gun for cleaning, but be careful to avoid spraying water directly on the connection parts and seals of the track to avoid damaging the parts.
LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE
· Regularly lubricate the connection pins, supporting wheels, sprocket wheels and other parts of the track. Use suitable lubricating oil or grease to reduce friction and wear between parts.
· Pay attention to the frequency of lubrication, which is generally determined by the intensity of work and environmental conditions. Lubrication is usually performed once a week or every certain number of hours of work.
AVOID IMPROPER OPERATION
· Avoid sharp turns on rough and hard ground, which can easily cause excessive wear and damage to the track.
· Do not perform repairs or maintenance work while the track is still rotating to avoid danger.
· When the excavator is parked for a long time, the track can be loosened to reduce the tension of the track and extend the service life of the track.
